If you want to draw pics at cool angles then read up on perspective drawing and if drawing people use 3-d shapes to build the drawing. Then draw the person on top of the shapes. You might have read this before but i finally got it down and it works. If you can master it you can draw anything at any angle you wish.

Granted, it's a big help, but you still need to know how the anatomy looks at the angle your trying to draw. Coz a slight rotation can really change the look (and overlapping of muscles). Ugh, shoulder blades, joints, ...
Ah, but then you miss the movement, the "gesture" or "essence" of the pose. Your drawings will risk looking stiff and static. Always remember what the primary impulse is in the figure when using this method. ~Dr.Funkenstein~

i do so agree. especially in manga because the whole feeling of this style is the movement depicted by using line over form hence if you are interested in drawing manga action then you will end with very marvel-esque pictures, which is fine if you like that style.
I draw in a very different style; i sketch a torso line in real fast then quickly swoosh the legs in. I think this creates a flowing dynamic pose. sure you can do it in perspective but always remember the action essence, the charatcers soul you could say.
