A small drawing contest I ran at the Solace message forum for people to come up with a fan picture for my newly created character "Nikki". The contest rules were:

* Deadline was the 5th of MAY
* Colour not required (sub-winner for best B/W art)
* Winners receive a gift art from me ^_^
* All participants are awarded 'lil participation bages for fun/ to put in your sig/ web site/ etc.
* J. Duncan Law Green was our most excellent co-judge

Considering Nikki's a relatively new creation, plus the reference material wasn't all that great, everyone did a wicked job coming up with a piece of work. I'm really happy with everyone's submission and since it's not just a contest, but fanart of one of my characters, this is so very cool ^__^

* Overall winner: SAYDA CHAN for her combo of a cool line work and creative CG piece. Receives CGed Nikki fanart
* Line work sub-winner: JULIE LOOHOO for her 'realistic anime' pencil work approach to Nikki fanart. Receives B/W line art
All entries were ranked in order - the entries were really, really close, and ranking entries was by no means easy. All entries received a badge for website/sig purposes:

I hope to perhaps run a second contest once I have a little more info about Nikki to share with everyone. But until then, anyone's still welcome to contribute fanart for this gallery :)
